Nureva® audio systems can be configured to work with the Google Meet™ platform by following the steps below.
Before starting
Set up the Nureva system by following the steps in the get started guide:
Get started with the HDL200 system
Get started with the HDL300 system
Get started with the Dual HDL300 system
Setting your default device
To ensure the Nureva audio system is ready for conference calls, it must be set as the default audio device for playback and recording within the computer’s sound settings.
In Windows
Follow these steps to set a Nureva audio conferencing system as the default audio device for a Windows® computer.
Click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop.
Right-click Sound.
The sound settings window will open.
In Windows sound settings
Playback tab
Select Echo canceling speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the default communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the default device.
Recording tab
Select Echo canceling speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the default communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the default device.
After the sound settings have been set to the Nureva audio system, close the sound settings window and return to the desktop.
In ChromeOS
Follow these steps to configure the Nureva device as the default input and output device in the ChromeOS™ operating system.
Click on the time in the lower-right corner of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
Click the Settings icon to open the ChromeOS Settings menu.
In the menu on the left, select Device.
Click Audio to open the audio settings.
Set Nureva device as the default output
In the Output section, go to the list of available audio devices.
Click the Nureva device to select it as the preferred output device.
If the option is available, set it as the default communications device to ensure it is used for calls and meetings.
Set Nureva device as the default input
Scroll down to the Input section.
Find the Nureva device in the list of available microphones.
Click it to set it as the preferred input device.
The Nureva audio device is now set up for both input and output on ChromeOS.
In Google Meet
Follow these steps to ensure your Nureva device is selected as the audio input and output in Google Meet.
Open the Google Chrome™ browser or your preferred web browser.
Go to Google Meet.
If prompted, sign in with your Google account.
Open the audio settings
On the Google Meet home page, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
This will open the Settings menu.
Select the Nureva device under Audio
In the Settings menu, click the Audio tab.
In the Microphone section, click the drop-down menu and select the Nureva device as the input device.
In the Speaker section, click the drop-down menu and select the Nureva device as the output device.
