Nureva® audio systems can be configured to work with Google Meet™ by following the steps below.
Before starting
Set up the Nureva system by following the steps in the getting started guide:
Get started with HDL200 system
Get started with HDL300 system
Get started with Dual HDL300 system
Setting your default device
To ensure the Nureva audio system is ready for conference calls it must be set as the default audio device for playback and recording within the computer's sound settings.
In Windows®
Follow these steps to set a Nureva audio conferencing system as the default audio device for a Windows® computer.
Click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop.
Right-click Sounds.
The sound settings window will open.
In Windows sound settings:
Playback tab
Select Echo Canceling Speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set Default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the Default Communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the Default device.
Recording tab
Select Echo Canceling Speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set Default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the Default Communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the Default device.
After the sound settings have been set to the Nureva audio system, close the sound settings window and return to the desktop.
In ChromeOS™
Follow these steps to configure your Nureva device as the default input and output device in ChromeOS.
Click on the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
Click the Settings icon to open the ChromeOS Settings menu.
In the left-hand menu, select Device.
Click on Audio to open the audio settings.
Set Nureva Device as the Default Output
Under the Output section, locate the list of available audio devices.
Click on the Nureva device to select it as the preferred output device.
If an option is available, set it as the default communications device to ensure it is used for calls and meetings.
Set Nureva Device as the Default Input
Scroll down to the Input section.
Find the Nureva device in the list of available microphones.
Click on it to set it as the preferred input device.
Your Nureva audio device is now set up for both input and output on ChromeOS.
In Google Meet
Follow these steps to ensure your Nureva device is selected as the audio input and output in Google Meet.
Open Google Chrome or your preferred web browser.
Go to Google Meet.
If prompted, sign in with your Google account.
Open the Audio Settings
On the Google Meet homepage, locate the gear icon in the upper-right corner and click on it.
This will open the Settings menu.
Select the Nureva Device Under Audio
In the Settings menu, click on the Audio tab.
Under the Microphone section, click the dropdown menu and select your Nureva device as the input device.
Under the Speaker section, click the dropdown menu and select your Nureva device as the output device.
