Nureva® HDX system can be configured to work with Microsoft® Teams, Zoom Meetings and Zoom Rooms by following the steps below.
Setting your default device
To ensure the Nureva system is ready for conference calls, it must be set as the default audio and default communication device for playback and recording within the computer’s sound settings.
Before starting
Set up the HDX system by following the steps in the get started guide.
In Windows
Follow these steps to set a Nureva audio conferencing system as the default audio device for a Windows® computer.
Click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop.
Right-click Sound.
The sound settings window will open.
In Windows sound settings
Playback tab
Select Echo cancelling speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the default communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the default device.
Recording tab
Select Echo cancelling speakerphone (Nureva audio). The product name might also be shown.
Open the Set default drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel.
Select Set as the default communication device.
Open the drop-down menu again.
Select Set as the default device.
After the sound settings have been set to the Nureva audio system, close the sound settings window and return to the desktop.
Recommended settings for Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams desktop client
Open Microsoft Teams settings
Launch the Microsoft Teams desktop app on the computer.
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
In the drop-down menu, select Settings.
In the left-hand menu, click Devices.
Set the Nureva device as the speaker and microphone settings
Click the drop-down menu for Speaker and select the Nureva device as the output device.
Click the drop-down menu for Microphone and select the Nureva device as the input device.
Ensure Automatically adjust mic sensitivity is turned ON so Teams can optimize your voice levels dynamically.
Configure noise suppression
Scroll down to the Noise suppression section.
Click the drop-down menu and select Voice Isolation to minimize background noise while preserving voice clarity.
Enable spatial audio (optional)
In Microsoft Teams, spatial audio creates a more realistic and immersive sound experience by simulating the distance and direction of speakers in a meeting, making it sound like they are physically located in a specific area on the screen.
Switch the spatial audio toggle ON to enhance sound positioning in supported setups.
When all settings are adjusted, you can close the Settings window — Microsoft Teams will automatically save your preferences.
The Nureva audio system is now fully optimized for Microsoft Teams meetings.
Recommended settings for Zoom
Zoom Meetings & Zoom Rooms
Open Zoom audio settings
Launch Zoom on your computer.
Click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
In the drop-down menu, select Settings.
In the menu on the left, click Audio.
Select the Nureva device as the speaker (output)
In the Speaker section, click the drop-down menu.
Select the Nureva device as the preferred output device.
Click Test speaker to ensure audio plays through the correct device.
Select the Nureva device as your microphone (input)
In the Microphone section, click the drop-down menu.
Select the Nureva device as the preferred input device.
Speak into the microphone and check the Input Level bar to confirm it detects sound.
Enable Zoom background noise removal
Scroll down to the Audio Profile section.
Click Zoom Background Noise Removal to expand the options.
Select Auto to allow Zoom to intelligently filter out background noise while maintaining voice clarity.
Click Apply or simply close the settings window (Zoom saves changes automatically).
The Nureva audio device is now fully configured for Zoom meetings with optimized background noise removal.
