Room control is a Nureva® App feature that provides quick and easy access to basic audio settings in Nureva audio devices. This feature can be used as a controller for quick volume adjustments by presenters and meeting participants in the room.
With room control, a user can:
Adjust the speaker volume
Mute or unmute the microphones
View connected peripheral devices
Restart and calibrate the HDL410
The Nureva App can be configured to restrict access, so users see only the room control page, providing simple audio controls without access to other features.
Opening the room control page
Access the room control page directly from the Nureva App home page. Tap the control icon to open the page.
Tap the Meeting controls, Aux ports, or Advanced tabs at the top of the screen to see the available controls.
Access control for the room control page
When setting up room control for an in-room presenter or another user, the page can be locked to restrict access to the rest of the app. This locks room control to that specific instance of the Nureva App. An administrator can set the lock in two ways: from the room control page, or from the Room control settings. This feature is available only in the Nureva App.
Locking from the room control page
Tap the lock icon on the room control page.
Press Confirm on the prompt to lock to the room control page.
If prompted, enter the updated third-party API integration password.
The Nureva App will remain on the room control page, limiting access to the rest of the Nureva App features.
To unlock the room control page and return to the full app, tap the lock icon again and enter the device password.
Locking from the room control settings
Open the Settings menu and select Room control.
Slide the toggle for Show room control after connecting to lock the room control page.
When enabled, any user connecting to the device through the Nureva App will be restricted to the room control page.
For persistent setups (such as a tablet in a meeting room), exploring the Kiosk Mode options offered by the device's operating system, or keeping the computing device powered on and dedicated to the remote screen, is recommended.
Customize the room control
Within the room control settings, an administrator can select which features to show on the room control page. This can give in-room users more or less access to room features depending on security needs.
How to customize the room control
Open Settings.
Navigate to Room control settings.
Scroll to Customize room control.
Use the check boxes to select which features will be visible on the room control page.
