Room profiles with the HDX series

The Nureva® HDX series is coming soon.

Technical support articles are being prepared ahead of HDX availability and may be updated as features, functionality and guidance evolve.

With room profiles in the Nureva App, you can configure settings for multiple meeting scenarios in a single space. This feature is useful when you have an HDX system in a room used for a variety of purposes, such as small team meetings and larger group sessions. By creating and switching between profiles, you can apply predefined room configurations without needing to manually adjust the settings each time.

When to use room profiles

Room profiles are useful when a room is regularly reconfigured for different types of scenarios — particularly when active zones, camera zones or camera switching are involved.

Examples where this can be useful

  • For a team huddle, the camera view could be set to focus on participants seated around the table, possibly using multiple camera views, with full-room audio pickup enabled.

  • For a company-wide presentation in the same space, a camera zone could be set up near the front of the room to focus on the presenter, with additional zones positioned further back to capture the audience.

By creating distinct profiles for each scenario, the need to manually reconfigure zones and camera settings before each meeting can be avoided.

Creating a room profile

By default, Profile 1 is available on the home page of the Nureva App. To create additional profiles or edit existing profiles:

  1. Go to the Profile menu on the home page.

  2. Press the Edit icon to rename the current profile.

  3. Select Add profile to create a new profile.

    • This will duplicate the current profile and you should then customize the new profile’s name.

When a new profile is created, it becomes active. The zones and camera switching settings can be adjusted for that individual profile. A maximum of three profiles can be set up per room.

Note: Audio settings are shared across all profiles. Changes made to the audio settings for one profile will apply to every profile for that room.

Switching between profiles

Follow these steps to switch between room profiles:

  1. On the home page, open the Profile menu.

  2. Select the required profile.

  3. Press Got it to dismiss the confirmation notification.

The selected profile is now active and its settings will be applied to the room.

Removing a profile

Before a profile can be removed, it will need to be made inactive. There must always be at least one active profile. To remove a profile:

  1. Open the Profile menu on the home page.

  2. Select the inactive profile and press the trash can icon.

  3. Press Remove to confirm.

HDX series capabilities

HDX systems (except for the HDX 2 bar configuration) support up to eight camera zones on a coverage map. When an INOGENI® CAM230 multi-camera selector is used, up to three zones can be configured. Each room profile can be set up with unique zones. With the CAM230 integration, camera inputs can be mapped differently for each profile. For example, Input 1 can be designated as a presenter zone in one profile and as an audience zone in the other profiles.
