The Nureva® App is a web-based companion app designed to enhance the setup and configuration of HDL310 and HDL410 systems, as well as manage a comprehensive range of audio device settings. This web app is accessed over a local area network (LAN) using a browser and the IP address for the Nureva device. A continuous internet connection is not required to use the app.
Why adjust the USB speed?
USB speeds refer to the data transfer rates of Universal Serial Bus (USB) connections. By default, the HDL310 and HDL410 systems use Hi-Speed (USB 2.0). For some combinations of these Nureva audio systems and third-party devices, matching the USB speeds will provide a better experience. The Nureva App offers the choice of using Full Speed (USB 1.1) and Hi-Speed (USB 2.0) for these integrations.
Matching the USB speeds is sometimes necessary when the accessory or device:
Uses HdBaseT protocol.
Is a legacy device that is restricted to Full Speed USB.
Uses an Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) host controller.
When to adjust the USB speed
The most common indication that USB speeds do not match is when microphone pickup is recognized but there is no speaker output from the HDL310 or HDL410. This has been reported with these types of third-party products:
Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) systems
Bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) systems
Room control systems
Digital signal processors (DSP)
Android™ computers
Chrome™ computers
Older Windows® and macOS® computers
USB over Ethernet devices
Nureva recommends checking the product manufacturer’s user manuals and related documentation to confirm whether the device uses Full Speed or Hi-speed USB connections.
Before starting
Ensure the HDL310 or HDL410 system has been connected to the internet for a minimum of 6 hours. This allows the device to complete component updates. Internet access is required only to update the device.
Have the device IP address and enrollment code ready to access the app for the first time. The IP address and enrollment code can be found in Nureva Console. This information is available through the device dashboard, under the Hardware and networking section.
If the device is not connected to Nureva Console, the enrollment code and MAC address can be found on the bottom of the connect module. These will be used to find the IP address and access the app for the first time.
Using the app
The Nureva App can be opened and used on a computer or mobile device that has a supported browser installed. Currently, the Chrome™ and Safari® browsers are supported.
Open a browser and enter the device IP address into the search bar.
When prompted for a password, enter the HDL310 or HDL410 enrollment code and click Continue.
The app will advance to the Nureva App home page.
Open the Settings menu.
Select USB port.
Select the required USB speed.
Confirm the setting choice by pressing Restart.
Back to Settings returns the app to the main Nureva App home page.
Troubleshooting
Nureva App does not load
If the Nureva App does not load in the browser, check the following:
Is the correct IP address being used to access the app?
Are the computer and the Nureva device on the same LAN? The app will not launch if the Nureva device and computer are on different networks.
Has the HDL310 or HDL410 system been connected to the internet for at least 6 hours? This will allow the device to complete component updates. Internet access is required only to update the device.
