Can a USB extender be used with a Nureva audio system?

    • PDF

    Article summary

Yes, a USB extender can be used with Nureva® audio systems. Nureva recommends using the USB extenders listed below. These extenders meet our standards for audio quality and reliability. Using USB extenders that have not been validated with Nureva devices may result in reduced audio conference quality due to increased latency and dropped data packets.

To use HDL200, HDL310 and HDL410 systems with HDBaseT extenders, setting the USB speed to Full Speed (USB 1.1) is necessary for a successful combination. HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems can be used with HDBaseT extenders without changing the USB speed.

    Alternative to USB extenders

The HDL300, Dual HDL300, HDL310 and HDL410 systems include Ethernet cables used for Power over Ethernet (PoE). USB extenders can be avoided by using a long PoE cable between the connect module and the speaker bar. This will allow the connect module to be placed closer to the host device.
