    Article summary

This article outlines how to use the Nureva® HDL300 audio conferencing system with the Alfatron  ALF-UC1 (Gen 2) 4K wireless conferencing system. Alfatron wireless dongles are not currently supported.

Alfatron Electronics is marketed as Josawa in the European Union (EU).

    Before starting

Set up the HDL300 system by following the steps in the get started guide:

    Get started with HDL300 system

    On the Nureva HDL300

    1. Connect the included power cable to the connect module of the Nureva HDL300.

    2. Connect the included USB Type A-B cable from the HDL300 to a USB-A 3.0 port on the back of the Alfatron ALF-UC1 (Gen 2).

On the Alfatron ALF-UC1 (Gen 2) using a USB-C cable

    1. Ensure the Alfatron unit is switched on and fully started up.

    2. Connect one end of the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port under Source Input on the Alfatron unit.

    3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the BYOD device.

    4. Press the gray USB Switch button on the front of the Alfatron device until the green light next to USB-C comes on.

    5. Set your default audio device to Nureva Audio.

On the Alfatron ALF-UC1 (Gen 2) wirelessly

Both the Alfatron ALF-UC1 (Gen 2) and BYOD device will need to be connected to the same network for the Alfatron unit to be discoverable.

Mute syncing between the HDL300 and BYOD device when connecting to the Alfatron unit wirelessly is not supported. For the best experience, we recommend using the mute controls within your UC&C platform.

    1. Ensure the Alfatron unit is switched on and fully started up.

    2. Press the gray USB Switch button on the front of the Alfatron device until the green light next to Wireless comes on.

    3. Download the Alfatron app from the Alfatron unit   by accessing the Alfatron unit’s IP address on your browser.

    4. After installation, run the Alfatron app and connect to the Alfatron unit when it is discovered.

    5. Set your default audio device to UC1-meeting audio.

When these steps are completed, the audio input and output will route through the HDL310 system while screen sharing is active.
