    Article summary

The Nureva® App is a companion app designed to enhance the setup and configuration of HDL310 and HDL410 systems, as well as manage a comprehensive range of audio device settings. The app uses a local area network (LAN) to connect to the HDL310 or HDL410 connect module.

An alternative to using a LAN is a direct connection by connecting an Ethernet cable from the system’s connect module to a tablet, mobile phone or computer. A continuous internet connection is not required to use the app.

Explore Using a direct Ethernet connection with the Nureva App.

    Important

The first time the Nureva App is accessed a warning may state: “Your connection to this site is not secure.” This warning appears because the Nureva audio device is protected by a self-signed certificate that is unique to Nureva devices and unknown to the browser. There are two options for proceeding to the Nureva App.

    1. Verify that the IP address is correct and select the browser option to proceed to the Nureva App.

    2. Connect the computer directly to the Nureva audio device using an Ethernet cable and use the link-local address (169.254.254.254) to proceed to the Nureva App.

    Nureva App features

The Nureva App is available from the Apple® App Store (iOS, iPadOS®) and through a web browser by using the IP address for a Nureva Pro series device.

    • Settings: Manage HDL310 or HDL410 settings and features.

    • Coverage map: View the sound location data in real-time and create camera switching zones.

    • Set up device: Find installation tips and guidance when setting up the HDL310 or HDL410 for the first time.

    • Inputs/outputs: Adjust auxiliary port, Voice Amplification Mode, camera tracking and USB port settings.

    • Troubleshooting: Confirm the network configuration, reset audio settings or restart the device.

    • Device info: See information about the device and its components.

    • Acoustic check: Use an iPhone® to generate an acoustic score to help avoid the hassle of post-installation issues.

Using the app - iOS and iPadOS

The iOS and iPadOS versions of the Nureva App are available from the Apple App Store. The Nureva App for iPhone requires iOS 16.0 (or later) and a compatible iPhone. The Nureva App for iPad® requires iPadOS 16.0 (or later) and a compatible iPad.

    Local Area Network (LAN) permission

When you first navigate to the Connect to device page in the iOS and iPadOS versions of the Nureva App, a permission popup will request access to the local network.

    • If permission is granted: Proceed to enter the IP address and connect to the Nureva audio device.

    • If permission is not granted: After entering the IP address and trying to connect, an error message will appear. This message includes a link that directs you to the iOS settings where you can enable local network access.

    1. Open the Nureva App using an iPhone or iPad.

    2. Click Allow when prompted to allow the Nureva App to find devices on the LAN.

    3. Enter the IP address for the HDL310 or HDL410 and click Continue.

    4. When prompted for a password, enter the HDL310 or HDL410 enrollment code and click Continue.

    5. The Nureva App home page will open.

    Using the app - browser

The Nureva App can be opened and used on a computer or mobile device that has a supported browser installed. Currently, the Chrome™ and Safari® browsers are supported.

    1. Open a browser and enter the device's IP address into the search bar.

    2. When prompted for a password, enter the HDL310 or HDL410 enrollment code and click Continue.

    3. The Nureva App home page will open.

    Troubleshooting

    Nureva App does not load

If the Nureva App does not load in the browser, check the following:

    • Is the correct IP address being used to access the app?

    • Are the computer and the Nureva device on the same LAN? The app will not launch if the Nureva device and computer are on different networks.

    • Has the HDL310 or HDL410 system been connected to the internet for a minimum of 6 hours? This will allow the device to complete component updates. Internet access is required only to update the device.
