Compatibility analysis — Nureva HDL310 and Poly G62

Nureva has determined that the Poly Studio G62 system will work with the Nureva^® HDL310 when configured as shown in this article. Our lab testing found that using analog 3.5 mm connections resulted in suboptimal audio quality. A USB connection is recommended. Microsoft^® Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms were used for this testing.

Before starting

• Set up the HDL310 system by following the steps in the get started guide:

• Ensure the Poly Studio G62 is using firmware version 4.35.0 or later.

• Complete setting up the Poly Studio G62 using the setup instructions.

  Poly Studio G62 support

Poly Studio G62 with Microsoft Teams Rooms

1. Connect the USB-B to USB-A cable from the HDL310 connect module to a USB-A port on the G62.

2. Log in to the Poly Studio G62 dashboard.

3. Go to Audio/Video.

4. Select Audio.

   • Select General Audio Settings.

   • Select the Enable USB Audio checkbox.

5. Return to General Audio Settings.

6. Go to NoiseBlockAI Options.

   • Select NoiseBlockAI v1.

7. A green notification will confirm that the settings have automatically been saved.

8. Log out of the Poly Studio G62 dashboard.

Poly Studio G62 with Zoom Rooms

1. Connect the USB-B to USB-A cable from the HDL310 connect module to a USB-A port on the G62.

2. Log in to the Poly Studio G62 dashboard.

3. Go to Audio/Video.

4. Select Audio.

   • Select General Audio Settings.

   • Select the Enable USB Audio checkbox.

5. Return to General Audio Settings.

6. Go to NoiseBlockAI Options.

   • Set NoiseBlockAI to Off.

7. A green notification will confirm that the settings have automatically been saved.

8. Log out of the Poly Studio G62 dashboard.

Mute function

When muting the microphones for the Nureva audio system, there will be some differences in functionality between this integration and a standard installation. With a G62 integration, note the following:

• Nureva remote — Mute functions the same as with a standard installation.

• Microsoft Teams Room — The microphones are muted but the status indicator lights on the microphone and speaker bar do not change to red. Teams will display the microphones as muted.

• Zoom Room — The microphones are muted but the status indicator lights on the microphone and speaker bar do not change to red. Zoom will display the microphones as muted.

Volume control

When changing the volume for the HDL310, the status indicator lights on the microphone and speaker bar do not reflect the volume up or volume down sequences that happen with a standard installation. The volume does change as instructed; however, the lights flash instead.
