Active Zone Control with the HDL300 system

Active Zone Control with the Nureva® HDL300 system targets microphone pickup in a specific part of the room. Enabling Active Zone Control ensures that sound is heard clearly in the part of the room selected.
For example, Active Zone Control can be enabled to capture clear audio while a presenter moves around at the front of the room. The sounds of audience members outside the active zone will be less pronounced.
Active Zone Control is not intended to provide full-time limitations to a specific pickup area. This feature is designed only for situations in which someone needs to be heard above the other people in the room. Active Zone Control should be turned off when the system is not in use.
How to enable Active Zone Control
In Nureva Console, go to the Active Zone Control accordion at the bottom of Settings.
Slide the toggle to the right.
Configure the zone size
When enabled, Active Zone Control automatically switches from full zone to partial zone to allow customization.
Use the drag handles (or enter the length and width) to adjust the active zone size. Units of measurement can be changed from meters to feet.
Speak and walk around in the selected active zone location. Blue dots will appear in the zone overview to indicate where the sound is being heard in the space. Adjust the partial zone size to ensure all speaking locations are heard clearly.
Need help determining zone size? Try “Start mapping sounds”
Click the Start mapping sounds button and blue dots will appear in the zone overview wherever the HDL300 system registers sound. No audio is being recorded at this time.
The dots will remain visible at the Top view of zone until they are cleared or mapping is stopped. The dot locations can help with identifying the ideal active zone size within the space.
Press Stop mapping to exit this sound visualization feature.
Shift between full and partial zone
With Active Zone Control enabled, use the remote control to shift between full zone coverage and partial zone coverage by pressing the F2 button on the remote control.
