    • PDF

    Article Summary

Voice Amplification Mode makes it easy to amplify a presenter’s voice in the room while maintaining full-room microphone pickup in the rest of the space.

When a wireless headset microphone system is connected to a supported Nureva® audio device, the voice of the person wearing the mic will broadcast through the system speakers in the room.

Why is it only available in Nureva Console cloud?

The audio system needs to be enrolled in Nureva Console cloud for Voice Amplification Mode to be enabled and the available settings configured. Once this feature has been enabled and configured, the continued connection to Nureva Console cloud is not required.

Why are only headset and earset microphones supported?

Headsets and earsets are the only microphones supported for Voice Amplification Mode because they deliver superior audio performance over other types of microphones in hybrid learning environments.

Which wireless headset microphones are compatible with your audio systems?

Any headset or earset microphone that has an XLR connection can be used with Voice Amplification Mode.

Are handheld and fixed lectern microphones supported?

Handheld and fixed lectern microphones will function with Voice Amplification Mode, but they are not officially supported. Further testing is required to gain a further understanding of the technical requirements and limitations of their use.

Will Voice Amplification Mode work with HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems?

Yes, as long as the firmware is updated, HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems will support this feature.

In multiple presenter situations, can multiple microphones be run into a mixer before going into the audio system?

Yes, using multiple microphones with Voice Amplification Mode and a Nureva audio conferencing system is possible.

Does Voice Amplification Mode work with a UC&C client?

Yes, Voice Amplification Mode and Nureva audio conferencing systems work with UC&C clients.

In a Zoom call (or other UC&C platform), is the instructor’s voice projected through the Nureva system speakers in the classroom and to remote participants?

If the instructor is wearing the headset or earset microphone and presenting over Zoom, their voice will be amplified in the classroom and sent at the regular volume to remote participants at the same time.

Are students’ voices amplified in the classroom?

No, the only voice amplified in the classroom will be that of the person wearing the headset or earset microphone  typically the instructor.

Can I use Voice Amplification Mode and an HDL300 without a computer/video platform connected?

Yes, when Voice Amplification Mode has been enabled in Nureva Console cloud, it can continue to work with or without a connected computer.

Which types of lecture capture systems have been tested with Voice Amplification Mode?

We have tested some third-party lecture capture software, for instance, Panopto. Many customers record lectures through UC&C clients such as Microsoft® Teams and Zoom. On the hardware side, we have tested a lecture capture platform from Matrox. On the connect module, use the aux-out port to connect the Nureva system to the Matrox® platform.

What is the largest room size supported with Voice Amplification Mode?

When used with the HDL410 system, Voice Amplification Mode supports rooms up to 35' x 55' (10.7 x 16.8 m).
