An HDL300 system can be quickly and easily upgraded to an HDL310 system by replacing the connect module. The microphone and speaker bar, mounting hardware, and system cabling stay in place and don't need to be replaced.
What the upgrade involves
Contact a local audio-visual reseller to order an upgrade kit.
The part number is AKIT-CMOD2.
Remove the existing HDL300 connect module and its power supply.
Install the next-generation connect module and the power supply supplied with it.
No other hardware changes are needed — the microphone and speaker bar, mounts, and cabling are reused as-is.
What the HDL310 adds
The HDL310 connect module gives the system more processing power and memory, and network connectivity, which enables:
Larger coverage area — up to 30' × 30' (9.1 × 9.1 m), up from 25' × 25' (7.6 × 7.6 m) on the HDL300.
Console Direct — connects directly to the network for continuous access to Nureva Console, without needing an in-room computer.
Enhanced Microphone Mist — newer audio processing enabled by the added processing capability.
Audience mute — with Adaptive Voice Amplification, mutes the in-room audience so remote participants hear only the presenter.
Microphone ducking — mutes system microphone pickup while a presenter speaks through an external mic (avoiding dual audio), then restores full-room pickup automatically.
Dynamic boost — increases speaker output and speech intelligibility in large or noisy rooms.
Additional audio configuration options — newer system settings enabled by the updated platform.
Enhanced status indicators — clearer LEDs on the connect module for easier installation and troubleshooting.
A platform for future features — the added processing headroom supports capabilities planned for future releases.
