Can the HDL300 system be cleaned and disinfected?

    • PDF

    Article Summary

Yes, the Nureva® HDL300 system can be cleaned and disinfected. We recommend using a soft, dry, lint-free cloth when cleaning the system.

    Cleaning materials

    • A soft-fiber, lint-free cloth

    • A solution made of 70% isopropyl alcohol

    • Cleaning wipes with a minimum alcohol concentration of 70%

    Guidelines — HDL300 system

    1. Before starting, power off the HDL300 system by disconnecting the power cable.

    2. Be aware that early models of the HDL300 system were coated with a softer paint that may rub off or discolor slightly. HDL300 systems with serial numbers starting with AG (AGxxxXxxXxxxxx) have the softer coating.

    3. Spray the cleaning solution onto the soft-fiber cloth until it’s damp.

    4. Start by test-cleaning in a small, inconspicuous area to ensure the cleaner does not cause the paint to rub off or discolor.

    5. Gently wipe the non-porous exterior surfaces using the soft-fiber cloth.

    6. Gently wipe cables using the cleaning wipes.

    7. Wait for the system and cables to air-dry before connecting the power cable and powering the system.

    Important

    • Be careful when cleaning near fabric-covered areas.

    • Avoid getting liquid onto fabric-covered areas.

    • Do not spray the cleaning solution directly onto the audio system or its components.

    • Do not use any solvents, harsh chemicals, ammonia cleaners or abrasive cleaners.

    • Keep moisture to a minimum and avoid spilling or dripping liquid into any openings.

    • Cleaning the system more than five times a day may damage the surface.

    Guidelines — remote control

    1. Remove the batteries from the remote control before starting.

    2. Spray the cleaning solution onto the cloth until it is damp.

    3. Start by test-cleaning in a small, inconspicuous area to ensure the cleaner does not damage the surface.

    4. Gently wipe the remote control surfaces, including the buttons.

    5. Allow the remote control to air-dry completely before replacing the batteries.

    Important

    • Keep moisture to a minimum and avoid spilling liquid on the remote control.

    • Avoid using excessive force when cleaning the remote control buttons.

    • Cleaning the remote control more than five times a day may cause damage.

    Warning

Using germicidal disinfectant wipes to clean and disinfect the audio system surfaces may cause visible and/or functional damage after repeated use.
