Getting started with your HDL200 system

Windows 10 operating system

  Administrative access required on the computer connected to HDL200 for setup. 

Step 1:    Download Nureva Console client



Install Nureva Console client on the PC connected to the HDL200
  • Launch Nureva Console Client installer 
  • Follow the steps to complete the installation

Nureva Console client is required to:

  • Update firmware to ensure HDL200 system optimal audio performance
  • Manage the HDL200 settings from the in-room computer
  • Enroll your HDL200 system in Nureva Console cloud to manage it remotely
    • FREE additional year of warranty when you enroll


NOTE:  If you have enhanced internet security, you may need to approve the URLs from this list.

Step 2:    Install and connect hardware

Install the HDL200

Connecting the HDL200
  • Using the provided USB cable, connect to the USB-B port on the HDL200
  • Run the cable to the in-room PC, connecting to a USB-A port
  • Connect the provided power supply to the HDL200 and plug into an available outlet or power bar

  • Once powered up, the HDL200 will automatically calibrate
    • Please remain quiet in the room until calibration is complete
  • When calibration has completed, the screen may indicate that a firmware update is required. Continue to step 3 and launch Nureva Console client to perform the firmware update.  

Step 3:    Launch Console client and complete setup

Launch Console Client

  • The HDL200 systems will be automatically detected by Nureva Console client

NOTE: If the system is not detected, check the USB connection to the computer as well as the power connection.

  • Select Continue


Set HDL200 system as default audio device

To ensure the HDL200 system is ready for conference calls it must be set as the default audio and default communication device for playback and recording within the Windows sound settings.
  • Choose "Open sound settings" to open the Windows sound settings

  • In Windows sound settings

Select the Playback tab

  • Select HDL200 (Echo Cancelling Speakerphone)
  • Using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel, choose Set as Default Communication device
  • Select HDL200 (Echo Cancelling Speakerphone)
  • Using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel, choose Set as Default device

  • In Windows sound settings

Select the Recording tab

  • Select HDL200 (Echo Cancelling Speakerphone)
  • Using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel, choose Set as Default Communication device
  • Select HDL200 (Echo Cancelling Speakerphone)
  • Using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the panel, choose Set as Default device
  • Once the sound settings have been set to the HDL200, return to the Nureva Console client application
    • Click "Next"

Enabling remote management

To begin, select "Enable remote management" at the bottom of the window.


Step 1:  Select "Create account" and complete the steps for account creation in Nureva Console cloud using your internet browser

  • Enter an email address to be used for the account sign-in, then watch for the verification email in the inbox
  • Verify the email address by pressing the "Verify" link in the email
  • Sign in using the email address and password used for setup
  • Complete first name, last name, and organization fields
  • Agree to the Nureva Software License and General Terms
  • Opt-in or out of product and service emails
  • Click on "Next" to complete account setup and open the device list page

NOTE: Please DO NOT close Nureva Console client as it is needed to complete enrollment

NOTE: If you have enhanced internet security, please approve the URLs from this list


Step 2: Choose "Enroll device" in Nureva Console cloud from your browser

Step 3: Choose "Generate enrollment code" in Nureva Console client

NOTE: If the client window has been closed, relaunch it following the setup, then click "Generate enrollment code"

Step 4: Select "Copy" and paste the enrollment code into the "Enter code" box in Nureva Console cloud and click "Next"

  • Select "Allow" from the pop-up in your browser to continue with device enrollment


Enter some additional device details such as the room name and tags to help you identify your device within your organization.

Example room name:  CA-Boardroom-1

Example tags: HDL200, Wall mounted, Floor 1, Room 502, 65"Display 

  • Click "Save"

The HDL200 system should now appear in the device list, as shown below.

Step 4:    Update firmware

 The HDL200 system will not be available for calls during the firmware update. Please do not turn off the computer, unplug, or disconnect the device.

Nureva Console indicates the firmware version of each enrolled device. If "Update available" is shown on the firmware version column the device is currently not up to date and should be updated.

  • Click on the "3 dot" actions menu and select "Update firmware"
A confirmation dialog will appear to acknowledge that the device will not be available for calls during the update process.
  • Click "Update" to continue

The download and update process will commence.  When completed the new firmware version will be visible.

The HDL200 setup is now complete. To ensure audio quality it is recommended to perform a test call from within the room.

Warnings and other considerations

Hardware installation

Installing the HDL200 microphone and speaker bar in these positions may cause overheating.
  • Do not install on tables, credenzas, countertops, or other surfaces without using Nureva approved accessories
  • Blocking of the vents on the HDL200 system will impede airflow and will lead to overheating
  • Ensure adequate space between all vents and other objects to promote airflow and cooling
  • Do not operate the HDL200 system while laying on the back surface (with speakers directed upwards) as this impedes airflow

Nureva Console and client

  • Enrollment and use of Nureva Console is optional
  • Nureva Console client is required for local (in-room) management of hardware devices
