# Updating the HDL200 system

Nureva® Console, the Nureva App and the HDL200 system provide visual cues when a device update becomes available. If a message about a device update is shown a new device version is needed.

> [!WARNING]
> **Important:** The HDL200 system will not be available for calls during the device update. Please do not turn off the computer or unplug or disconnect the device.

## Nureva App

1. Connect to the HDL200 system using the Nureva App.
2. If an update is available, the **update button** on the home page will be enabled.
3. Click the **update button** to start a device update.

When the HDL200 device update is complete, performing a test call is recommended to ensure audio quality.

## Nureva Console cloud

Launch [Nureva Console](https://console.nureva.com/sign-in) in a browser and sign in to check for and complete a device update. If an update is available, complete the steps below to update the device.

1. Click on the **3-dot** actions menu and select **Update device**. A confirmation dialog will appear to advise the device will not be available for calls during the update process.
2. Click **Update** to continue. The download and update process will commence. When completed, the new device version will be visible.

When the HDL200 device update is complete, performing a test call is recommended to ensure audio quality.

> **Note:** After updating the device, the computer must be restarted. In some cases, the USB cable between the computer and the HDL200 system will need to be unplugged and reconnected.
