# Nureva WebSocket local API guide

## Overview

Nureva® has moved from a WebSocket-based local API to a local API that uses REpresentational State Transfer (REST) architecture. The WebSocket API has been deprecated, and we will no longer actively provide support updates. We encourage you to transition to the new local REST API, which is actively maintained and updated.
