    Article summary

This update introduces improvements to the unified coverage map for the Nureva® HDL410 system. These improvements include real-time data collection and a truer representation of the location of the microphone and speaker bars.

Before the update, HDL410 systems captured sound location data and updated the coverage map every minute to show changes in the data. The coverage map represented the last five minutes of the sound location data captured.

The port 1 microphone and speaker bar placement was centered on the bottom or left side of the coverage map. This did not always accurately represent the location relative to the physical space. After the update, the port 1 microphone and speaker bar placement will more closely match its location in the actual space.

    Real-time coverage

Data streaming into the coverage map now happens in real-time. Therefore, the sound is shown on the coverage map as soon as it is detected. This improves the presentation of the data, which is helpful when creating coverage map zones for use with features like HDL410 camera switching.

Improved microphone and speaker bar placement

The placement of the port 1 microphone and speaker bar more closely represents its location relative to the physical space. The distance between either side of the port 1 microphone and speaker bar is shown. This will help adjust the coverage map, and ensure the microphone and speaker bar is positioned accurately. Similarly, the port 2 microphone and speaker bar is accurately positioned based on its physical location in a room, even if installed on a stand rather than on a wall.

Troubleshooting microphone and speaker bar placement

Errors with bar placement are automatically detected. A warning explains that the current placement cannot produce accurate sound location data. This warning also provides examples of correct microphone and speaker bar placement for using sound location data.
