# Using a Lightware UCX-2x1-HC30 with a Dual HDL300 system

The Lightware UCX-2x1-HC30 switcher works with the Nureva® Dual HDL300 system and other USB peripherals to effortlessly share between an in-room computer and a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) setup.

## On the Lightware UCX-2x1-HC30

1. Connect a USB-B 3.0 cable from USB-B input 2 (IN 2) to a USB-A 3.0 port on the in-room computer.
2. Plug a USB-C cable into input 1 (IN 1). This cable is used to connect to a BYOD and provides up to 60 W of charging.
3. Connect an HDMI cable from HDMI input 2 (IN 2) to the HDMI-out port on the in-room computer.
4. Connect the USB cable from the Dual HDL300 connect module to a USB-A port at the rear of the UCX-2x1-HC30.
5. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI-out of the UCX-2x1-HC30 to the in-room display.
6. Connect an Ethernet cable from the UCX-2x1-HC30 to the network. The UCX-2x1-HC30 supports Ethernet pass-through to both devices.
7. On both the in-room computer and BYOD, set the default speaker and microphone to the Dual HDL300.

> **Important:** For input 1 (IN 1), a USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible cable must be used.
