Using a direct Ethernet connection with the Nureva App

The Nureva® App is a web-based companion app designed to enhance the setup and configuration of HDL310 and HDL410 systems, as well as manage a comprehensive range of audio device settings. The Nureva App is available from the Apple® App Store (iOS, iPadOS®) and through a web browser by using the IP address for a Nureva Pro series device.
By connecting an Ethernet cable from a system’s connect module to a tablet, mobile phone or computer, a direct connection to the app is available as an alternative to accessing it over a local area network.
The first time the Nureva App is accessed a browser warning may state: “Your connection to this site is not secure.” This warning appears because the Nureva audio device is protected by a self-signed certificate that is unique to Nureva devices and unknown to the browser. This warning no longer appears once the certificate is recognized by the browser.
Before starting
Device enrollment code
When connecting to the app for the first time, the device enrollment code is needed. There are two ways to find the enrollment code:
The enrollment code is found in the Nureva Console device dashboard, under the Hardware and networking section.
The enrollment code can also be found on the bottom of the connect module.
Items needed
Tablet, mobile phone or computer and Ethernet cable.
If an Ethernet port is not included with the device, a USB to Ethernet adapter is needed.
Some mobile devices require a powered USB to Ethernet adapter.
An HDL310 or HDL410 system.
The app is accessible with only the connect module, but some features require a full system to be connected.
Steps to connect
Connect the Ethernet cable to the network port on the connect module.
Plug the Ethernet cable into the tablet, mobile phone or computer.
Open a supported browser and enter the IP address.
Chrome™ and Safari® browsers are supported.
Use 169.254.254.254 if a static IP address has not been set.
Enter the enrollment code if prompted.
If a password has been set, use this instead of the enrollment code.
Click Continue and the Nureva App home page will open.
Local Area Network (LAN) permission - iOS and iPadOS
When you first navigate to the Connect to device page in the iOS and iPadOS versions of the Nureva App, a permission popup will be shown requesting access to the local network.
If permission is granted: Proceed to enter the IP address and connect to the Nureva audio device.
If permission is not granted: After entering the IP address and trying to connect, an error message will appear. This message includes a link that directs you to the iOS settings where you can enable local network access.
