Adaptive Voice Amplification controls
What’s new? We’ve introduced new controls for Adaptive Voice Amplification (AVA) in the Nureva App. These controls allow you to fine-tune your AVA setup and they support additional external microphone types, such as handheld, lavalier, gooseneck and omnidirectional microphones.
How it works:
Gate threshold setting: A live ambient level indicator enables you to adjust the gate threshold accurately.
Separate gain levels: You can now set separate gain levels for in-room speakers and USB (far-end) audio.
Why it matters: These new controls give you more flexibility and control over your external microphone setup and tuning for Adaptive Voice Amplification. You can customize the settings to suit your specific needs and preferences, ensuring better amplification for both in-room and remote participants during meetings and presentations.
Impacted products: Nureva App, HDL310 and HDL410.
Mic EQ settings
What’s new? The Nureva App now provides a three-band EQ setting for HDL310 and HDL410 microphones. This allows you to refine the microphone settings to improve the sound quality for remote users based on the room’s acoustics.
How it works:
Three-band EQ: You can adjust the low, mid and high frequencies to enhance speech intelligibility and overall sound quality.
Pressing the reset button quickly restores the default setting.
Why it matters: With the new EQ settings, you can ensure your microphone captures clear audio and improves speech intelligibility for remote users, even in rooms with challenging acoustics. This will help make your meetings more productive and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Impacted products: Nureva App, HDL310 and HDL410.
Improved navigation and layout
What’s new? We’ve redesigned the home page and navigation in the Nureva App to provide a clearer overview of your system status and make it easier to find settings and controls. Additionally, we’ve introduced an improved flow for adding and supporting various devices, such as IP cameras, external microphones and other peripherals.
How it works:
Information at a glance: The new home page displays key information about your system so you can quickly identify issues and determine your next steps.
Device action bar: You can quickly access key actions, like updating the device, calibrating the device and restarting the device, right from the home page.
Bottom navigation bar: You can easily jump from one area of the app to another with the new bottom navigation bar.
Adding devices: The new add device flow simplifies the process of integrating and managing additional devices with your Nureva system. This includes support for IP cameras, external microphones and other auxiliary devices, making it easier to expand and customize your setup.
Why it matters: The improved navigation and layout make it easier for you to manage your Nureva system. You can quickly access the information, actions and features you need, saving you time and effort. The new add device flow simplifies the process of integrating and managing additional devices, ensuring a smoother setup and better overall performance.
Impacted products: Nureva App.
Room dimensions for improved sound location tracking
What's New? We have substantially improved the camera tracking feature, enhancing its accuracy and precision by utilizing room dimensions for better sound location targeting. Users will be prompted to provide precise room dimensions to optimize camera switching and sound location data performance.
How It Works:
Room Dimension Configuration: The Nureva App now permits users to enter precise room dimensions and microphone placement, which are then integrated into the sound location data for enhanced accuracy. Note: Incorrect dimensions can worsen accuracy and precision, so providing accurate information will improve camera switching.
Layers in Coverage Map: Nureva App now support layers in the coverage map, allowing users to toggle different pieces of information on or off. This includes room dimensions, camera switching zones, and sound location data.
Why It Matters? The enhanced accuracy and precision of the camera tracking will provide a better overall user experience, especially in rooms with challenging acoustics.
Impacted products: HDL310 and HDL410.
Utelogy platform integration with HDL310 and HDL410
What’s new? The Utelogy platform now supports the HDL310 and HDL410 systems as part of the Utelligent Partner Alliance program. This integration enables centralized control and monitoring of Nureva devices within Utelogy’s AV management ecosystem. The integration is built on Nureva’s RESTful APIs, ensuring compatibility and flexibility.
How it works:
With the Utelogy platform, users can:
Control Nureva devices: Adjust volume, mute or unmute microphones and modify bass or treble levels.
Monitor device status: View firmware version, serial number, MAC address, model number, mute state and current volume level.
Why it matters: With this integration, IT and AV teams can manage Nureva systems alongside other AV equipment from a single interface. It enhances operational efficiency, supports proactive maintenance and complements Nureva Console for deeper insights and analytics.
Impacted products: HDL310 and HDL410.
Fixes and Improvements
Dynamic boost: Disabled when a calibration is run to prevent issues.
System stability: Resolved power and system reset issues in Adaptive Voice Amplification mode and classroom mode.
Volume and bass levels: Fixed pseudo power issue when volume is set to maximum and bass level is set to 90+.
Microphone mute: Addressed the issue where the microphone was not being muted on the aux-out even though the microphone and speaker bars indicated it was.
Remote control: Improved the call hang-up button functionality with the remote, especially after a volume adjustment.
Voice activity detection: Enhanced this function to block sounds, such as knocking on a wooden table.
Mute synchronization: Fixed synchronization issues, particularly with Android™ systems.
Known issues
Nureva App: The port the audio component is plugged into doesn't correspond to the port label on the coverage map.
Nureva Console: Update progress may move in a non-linear fashion but will successfully complete.
