When using Nureva® HDL410 systems, microphone settings are available. They allow for the fine-tuning of the audio, improving intelligibility for remote participants. Systems will need to be updated to device version 2.3.3591 or later to use the latest microphone adjustments.

Adjusting microphone settings — device version 1.9 or earlier
Nureva App
Connect to the HDL410 using the Nureva App.
Go to Settings.
Open the Microphone page.
Pickup setting is available (mono or stereo) and the microphone gain setting will be visible.
Move the slider to the left to reduce gain and move the slider to the right to increase gain.
Nureva Console
Open Nureva Console.
Select the HDL410 system to be adjusted.
Scroll down to show the Settings options.
Open the Microphone drop-down menu.
Move the slider to the left to reduce microphone gain and move the slider to the right to increase microphone gain.
If using Nureva Console, click the Apply button.
How it works
The microphone volume gain setting is a single slider, with check marks at the 1/3 and 2/3 points. The default (0 dB) setting is at the 1/3 point. Moving the slider all the way to the left will reduce microphone gain by 6 dB. Moving the slider all the way to the right will increase microphone gain by 12 dB.
What it does
With the microphone volume gain setting, adjustments can be made to the volume of the processed microphone signal sent from the Nureva system to the connected meeting room computer. Changing this setting does not simply adjust the microphone level in the computer operating system. It creates a second microphone gain adjustment in the Nureva system.
When to use it
This setting might be adjusted in situations where the UC&C client is taking control of the microphone volume setting in the operating system and making the audio picked up by the Nureva system either too loud or too quiet for remote participants.

Nureva App
Connect to the HDL410 using the Nureva App.
Go to Settings.
Open the Microphone page.
Move each slider down to reduce the low-, mid- and high-frequency gain.
Move each slider up to increase the low-, mid- and high-frequency gain.
How it works
Low, mid and high frequencies
The microphone gain setting offers a three-band equalizer with Low, Mid and High sliders. This allows adjustment of the microphone gain for each frequency range. The default setting is 0 dB, and the range is from -8 dB to 12 dB.
Adjust gain uniformly
Enabling this setting allows adjustment to all three sliders at the same time, adjusting the overall gain. The default setting is 0 dB, and the range is from -8 dB to 12 dB.
Reset to default
Pressing the Reset to default button returns all of the microphone settings to default and the overall gain back to 0 db.
What it does
With the microphone volume gain setting, adjustments can be made to the volume of the processed microphone signal sent from the HDL410 system to the connected computer. Low-, mid- and high-frequency adjustments allow for finer tweaks to address issues in tonal quality. By adjusting the frequency response of the microphone signal, clarity can be improved, unwanted noise reduced and overall sound quality enhanced. These settings typically allow you to boost or cut specific frequency ranges to achieve tonal balance.
When to use it
Improving microphone tonal quality
Low-, mid- and high-frequency adjustments allow for fine-tuning the microphone audio quality, troubleshooting common microphone pickup issues and improving overall intelligibility of the microphone pickup. If experiencing muddy audio, it is recommended the low-frequency setting is reduced. For bright audio situations, it is recommended the high-frequency setting is reduced.
Improving overall microphone gain
When a UC&C client takes control of the microphone volume at the operating system level, the result can be the far-end audio being too loud or too quiet for remote participants. Using the Adjust gain uniformly setting and adjusting all three sliders up or down can help level out the volume.
