How to calibrate the HDL200 system

The Nureva® HDL200 system has two types of calibration processes — automatic calibration (autocalibration) and manual calibration. Conveniently for users, the HDL200 system routinely calibrates itself.
During a manual calibration sequence, the system’s speaker generates a signal that sounds like static. After 15 to 20 seconds, the static-like sound stops and the calibration sequence is complete.
Autocalibration
Autocalibration is a continuous process and occurs while the HDL200 system is switched on. No user action is required to start or maintain the autocalibration process. It usually takes a few minutes for the system to gather sufficient calibration data and it continues to fine-tune to the room setup over time. This process does not affect functionality and the system is usable during autocalibration.
The HDL200 system auto-calibrates to accommodate changes in the room such as the number of people or the configuration of furniture.
Manual calibration
Manual calibration of the HDL200 system is completed in approximately 20 seconds. This process automatically starts when the device is first unboxed and switched on. Additionally, calibration may be initiated manually through a remote control button sequence or by using Nureva Console or the Nureva App.
We recommend installing the HDL200 system before switching it on for the first time. If the system is switched on pre-installation, it will still require calibration after being installed to ensure optimal audio quality.
Calibration can be manually started at any time, but this is usually done when the room configuration has changed significantly. Do not perform a calibration sequence and then reposition the HDL200 system or furniture. Make sure there are no audible sound sources in the room other than normal ambient noise (e.g., no music playing, no people talking).
It’s possible to start a calibration sequence during a call. However, both parties will not be able to hear each other while calibration is taking place. The microphones and speakers will be temporarily disconnected and the call will resume after calibration is complete.
Calibrate through Nureva Console
The following steps are required to perform calibration through Nureva Console.
Go to Device Settings.
Select Audio processing.
Under Calibrate, click Start.
The calibration is complete when the calibration signal stops .
Calibrate using the remote control
Below are the steps for initializing manual calibration through the remote control.
Press the F4 button on the remote control five times in quick succession.
Press the Mute button on the remote control and the HDL200 system will enter calibration mode.
The calibration is complete when the calibration signal stops .
