This article outlines how to use a Nureva® HDL410 audio conferencing system with the WyreStorm® SW-640L-TX-W BYOD presentation switcher. When using the APO-DG2 wireless dongle, additional steps are required to route audio to and from the HDL410 system.
Before starting
Set up the HDL410 system by following the steps in the getting started guide:
On the Nureva HDL410
Connect the included power cable to the Nureva HDL410.
Connect the included USB Type A-B cable from the HDL410 to a USB-A port on the WyreStorm SW-640L-TX-W.
On the WyreStorm SW-640L-TX-W
Using a USB-C cable
Ensure the WyreStorm unit is switched on and fully started up.
Connect one end of the included USB-C cable to either USB-C IN 1 or USB-C IN 2 on the WyreStorm unit.
Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the BYOD device.
Using the APO-DG2 wireless dongle
Ensure the WyreStorm unit is switched on and fully started up.
Connect the APO-DG2 wireless dongle to the BYOD device.
The Apollo Cast app will install automatically if it’s not already present — this app is required to route audio and video through the WyreStorm system.
After installation, the Apollo Cast app will launch automatically.
Press the large button on the APO-DG2 dongle to cast your desktop to the room display.
Press the smaller conferencing button on the dongle. You should see both a teal LED (indicating conferencing mode) and a larger blue LED (indicating casting) light up.
On your device, open the operating system’s sound settings and select:
Speakers: Speakers — Room Audio
In your UC&C application, set:
Speakers: Speakers — Room Audio
Microphone: Microphone — Room Audio
When these steps are completed, the audio input and output will route through the HDL410 system while screen sharing is active via the WyreStorm wireless dongle.
Mute syncing between the HDL410 and connected BYOD device is not supported. For the best experience, we recommend using the mute controls within your UC&C platform.
