    Article summary

The Lightware UCX-2x1-HC30 switcher works with the Nureva® HDL410 system and other USB peripherals to effortlessly share between an in-room computer and a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) setup.

    Before starting

Set up the HDL410 system by following the steps in the get started guide:

Get started with the HDL410 system

    On the Lightware UCX-2x1-HC30

    1. Connect a USB-B 3.0 cable from USB-B input 2 (IN 2) to a USB-A 3.0 port on the in-room computer.

    2. Plug a USB-C cable into input 1 (IN 1). This cable is used to connect to a BYOD and provides up to 60 W of charging.

    3. Connect an HDMI cable from HDMI input 2 (IN 2) to the HDMI-out port on the in-room computer.

    4. Connect the USB cable from the HDL410 connect module to a USB-A port at the rear of the UCX-2x1-HC30.

    5. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI-out of the UCX-2x1-HC30 to the in-room display.

    6. Connect an Ethernet cable from the UCX-2x1-HC30 to the network. The UCX-2x1-HC30 supports Ethernet pass-through to both devices.

    7. On both the in-room computer and BYOD, set the default speaker and microphone to the HDL410.

Important: For input 1 (IN 1), a USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible cable must be used.
