Adjusting the CV30 camera tracking modes

The CV30 camera has three tracking modes which can be selected through the on-screen display (OSD) menu. The chosen tracking mode should match the usage scenario.
In a meeting room setting the group tracking mode will provide a view of all participants and their interactions. The camera frame will adjust as people move around.
For a classroom setting with a main instructor that is to be tracked the manual or auto tracking mode is recommended. The difference between manual and auto tracking is how the CV30 responds when the main instructor and other people in the field of view (FOV) move close to each other. In manual mode, the camera will attempt to track the main instructor but might switch to track a different person. With auto mode, the CV30 will choose the safer option and begin group tracking.
Manual
When Manual is selected the CV30 camera tracks the first person it identifies in the FOV. When there is more than one person in the FOV, you can choose the person being tracked with the right and left arrows on the remote control. If the people in the FOV overlap or are close, the camera may lose tracking or switch to the other person. The CV30 camera zooms out to the entire FOV when the camera detects nobody.
One person
Tracks the person detected in the FOV
Two people
Tracks the first detected or selected person
Switch the person being tracked using the arrows on the remote control
More than two people
Tracks the first detected or selected person
Switch the person being tracked using the arrows on the remote control
Auto (default)
If the CV30 camera is set to Auto it will track the first person it identifies in the field of view (FOV). When there is more than one person in the FOV, you can choose the person being tracked with the right and left arrows on the remote control. If the person being tracked overlaps or is close to another person, the camera will zoom out to cover all the detected people in the FOV. The camera is then virtually conducting Group tracking. Using the right or left arrow buttons on the remote control selects a person to track and exits Group tracking. The CV30 camera zooms out to the entire FOV when the camera detects nobody.
One person
Tracks the person detected in the FOV
Two people
Tracks first detected person
Switch the person being tracked using the arrows on the remote control
The selected person is tracked until the camera no longer distinguishes them, then both people are tracked as a group
If the selected person leaves the FOV, the camera will track the next detected person
Three people
Tracks first detected person
Switch the person being tracked using arrows on the remote control
The selected person is tracked until no longer distinguished by the camera, then all three people are tracked as a group
Quit group tracking and select a person to track using the arrows on the remote control
If the selected person leaves the FOV, the camera will track the remaining people in the FOV
Group
Selecting Group sets the CV30 camera's tracking to cover all detected people in the field of view (FOV). When Group is used the arrow keys do not switch between the people in the FOV. The CV30 camera zooms out to the entire FOV when the camera detects nobody.
One person
Tracks the person detected in the FOV
Two people
The camera covers the FOV tracking persons A and B
Three people
The camera covers the FOV tracking persons A, B and C
