# Adjusting the USB speed for the HDL200 system

## Why adjust the USB speed?

The USB speed refers to the data transfer rate of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection. By default, the Nureva® HDL200 system uses Hi-Speed (USB 2.0). For some combinations of the HDL200 and third-party devices, matching the USB speeds will provide a better experience. The Nureva offers the choice of using Full Speed (USB 1.1) and Hi-Speed (USB 2.0) for these integrations.

Matching the USB speeds is generally necessary if the accessory or device:

- Uses the HdBaseT protocol.
- Is a legacy device that is restricted to Full-Speed USB.
- Uses an Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) host controller.

## When to adjust the USB speed

The most common indications that the USB speed needs adjustment are when only the microphone pickup or speaker output are functioning with the HDL200. This issue has been reported with certain types of third-party products:

- Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) systems
- Bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) systems
- Room control systems
- Digital signal processors (DSPs)
- Android™ computers
- Chrome™ computers
- Older Windows® and macOS® computers
- USB over Ethernet devices

Nureva recommends checking the product manufacturer’s user manuals and related documentation to confirm whether the device has a Full Speed or Hi-Speed USB connection.

## How to adjust the USB speed

### Nureva App

1. Open the Nureva App.
2. Open the **USB port**.
3. Select the required USB speed setting.
4. Select **Restart** to confirm the change.

The HDL200 will restart after the change has been confirmed. The restart can take up to a minute.

### Nureva Console

1. In the Nureva Console, scroll down to **Settings**.
2. Open the **USB port**.
3. Select the required USB speed setting.
4. Select **Restart** to confirm the change.

The HDL200 will restart after the change has been confirmed. The restart can take up to a minute.
