Is the HDL300 system compatible with Dante® audio network solutions?

The HDL300 system works with a standard off-the-shelf adapter to connect with a Dante audio network.

Unbalanced signal

A Dante audio network can be connected to the HDL300 system using the 3.5mm unbalanced analog line input & output ports on the connect module connected to the stereo output & inputs (respectively). Low noise and low distortion are key to the HDL300 system's performance. Therefore, Nureva recommends the RDL SysFlex® SF-BNC2 Bidirectional Network Converter (as used in the example below).

Keep in mind, the connect module auxiliary ports must be set to “Microphone out” (line level) and “Speaker Input” in Nureva Room Manager.

Balanced signal

The HDL300 system also works for balanced audio systems with different standard, off-the-shelf converters using the auxiliary line input/output ports on the connect module. Make sure the audio settings in Nureva Room Manager are set to Mic out (line level).

Nureva has tested this solution with Dante's Audinate AES3 (Dante AVIO), which is a two-channel analog input adapter. For a converter, Nureva recommends the Rolls MB15b Promatch converter (3.5mm/XLR). This converter works as a stereo balanced line-level control.
