Does the HDL300 system work with audio conferencing (UC&C) software?

Including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft® Teams, Cisco WebEx™, GoToMeeting™, Fuze Rooms, Lifesize®, RingCentral®.

The HDL300 system can be configured to work with your audio conferencing software using the settings below.

Setting your default device

Before you start a conference call, make sure your HDL300 system is set as your default audio device. If it's not set as your default device, the system might try to use the speaker or microphone from another device, which can result in poor audio input and output.

Check if your HDL300 system is your default device

  1. Open Nureva Room Manager
  2. Navigate to the Audio Conferencing System → Controls page. If the HDL300 system is not set as your default device, click the 'Change' button to open the Windows® Sound manager.
  3. Go to the Playback tab

  1. Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone HDL300
  2. Click Set Default
  3. Go to the Recording tab
  4. Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone HDL300
  5. Click Set Default
  6. Click Apply
  7. Click Ok


Changing the volume

Keep in mind that when you change either the microphone or the speaker volume within Nureva Room Manager, the microphone or the speaker volume settings in your Windows system settings will change as well.

However, if you adjust the speaker or microphone volume in your audio conferencing software, the settings in your Windows system settings or Nureva Room Manager will probably not change. This inconsistency might make it difficult for you to get your HDL300 system to an optimal input or output volume. For example, if the Room Manager volume is set to 50%, and Skype® For Business' audio output is set to 50%, then users will only hear 25% of the system's volume capacity.

We recommend setting, and leaving, your audio conferencing software to a volume of approximately 80%. Then, when you need to change the system's input or output volume, adjust it using the Nureva Room Manager settings.

Zoom Rooms settings

  1. Open your Zoom settings
  2. Make sure both the microphone and speaker are set to Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)
  3. Under Advanced, deselect "Software Audio Processing"

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the Zoom Rooms application.

Microsoft® Teams settings

The volume settings in Microsoft Teams can be found by clicking the gear icon when you're in a call. Set the audio devices to "HDL300," and the speaker and microphone to "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)."

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the Microsoft Teams application.

Cisco WebEx™ volume settings

The volume settings in WebEx are located in the computer audio settings viewed by clicking the More Options button.

  1. Set the volume for both the speaker and microphone to approximately 80%
  2. Under Microphone, deselect "Automatically adjust volume"

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the Cisco WebEx application.

GoToMeeting™ volume settings

The volume settings in GoToMeeting are located in the software preferences.

  1. Set the volume for both the speaker and microphone to approximately 80%
  2. Under Advanced, deselect both
⬜  Automatically adjust my system mixer settings
⬜  Use automatic volume and noise processing

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the GoToMeeting application.

Fuze Rooms volume settings

The volume settings in Fuze are located in Profile Settings → Audio/Video.

  1. Under Microphone & Speakers, set the HDL300 system as the default device

  1. Under Advanced, deselect both
⬜  Enable acoustic echo cancellation
⬜  Enable automatic gain control

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the Fuze application.

Lifesize® settings

The volume settings in Lifesize software are located in Profile Settings Audio/Video. Under both Microphone and Speakers pull-downs, set the HDL300 system as the default device.

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with the Lifesize video conferencing software.

RingCentral® settings

The volume settings in Fuze are located in RingCentral's Settings

  1. Under Audio, set both Speaker and Mic to HDL300 system as the default device. We recommend setting the microphone to approximately 80%.
  2. Under Microphone, deselect "Automatically adjust volume"

You will now be able to use your HDL300 system with RingCentral meetings.
