No, the system will automatically configure to a Dual HDL300 system when it recognizes the second integrated microphone and speaker bar is plugged into the connect module.  

The system will not power up if two “made in Canada” Bars are plugged into the connect module (see the the Dual HDL300 exception at the bottom of the Can more than one HDL300 system be installed to cover a larger space? article for more details).
