HDL300 system technical requirements

The operating system and driver requirements for the HDL300 system.

Operating systems

The HDL300 system will work with the following operating systems:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows 10
  • macOS 10.10 “Yosemite”
  • macOS 10.11 “El Capitan”
  • macOS 10.12 “Sierra”
  • macOS 10.13 “High Sierra”

The HDL300 system will also work with many other operating systems that will allow for standard HID/audio class USB operation.

Driver requirements

The HDL300 system is plug and play and will work as a standard USB device without requiring special drivers or software. The HDL300 system presents itself as both an audio input (recording) and audio output (playback) device to the operating system, hence custom drivers are not required. The device will present itself specifically as a USB composite device (HID device and audio class). The driver presents itself as a single device, hence the speakers and microphones in the dual system will act in unison with only single controls.

Keep in mind, these requirements are for a typical HDL300 installation. The HDL300 system will also work with other systems, including computerless systems. See our FAQs for examples and information.
