Steps for a Jira administrator to configure a Jira account

Span Workspace’s Jira integration uses the authentication standard OAuth to authenticate users to Jira. Before users can connect their Span Workspace account to their Jira account and enable the integration, a Jira administrator must create an application link in Jira.


Setting up an application link

A Jira administrator must follow the steps below to link a company Jira instance to Span Workspace.

  1. Log into a Jira administrator account
  2. Go to Jira settings in the sidebar on the left.

3. Go to ProductsApplication links in the left sidebar.

  1. In the "Configure Application Links" field, type in https://span.nureva.com

  1. Click Create new link
  2. When a 'Configure Application URL' dialog box pops up, check Use this URL

  1. Click Continue
  2. When a "Link applications' dialog box appears, configure the following:
Application Name:  Span Workspace
Application Type:  Generic Application
Create incoming link

  1. In the next dialog box, configure the following:
Consumer Key:  13A7C655A7
Consumer Name:  Span Workspace
Public Key:  MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDWTk8bHsI5XAvvsnV4SGgWGH9OHxS1SQRSPsp0ZpGBuxCMKlkG1QqSBTd4L9tkuMX3e0fcrGwoO7djv46GAhsALXxXugE5izIq4PmIbuoOQME/HywKspvviM2HwdX8G+j7PPFNWKIxOpz9aa4bavjapgHZGoH0uA1pEbIFm6YZBQIDAQAB

  1. Click Continue

The following success message should appear:

Now that an application link has been created in Jira, users can enable Jira in Span Workspace.
