Is the HDL300 system compatible with a Microsoft® Surface Hub™?

For larger meeting rooms, an HDL300 audio conferencing system can be connected to a Microsoft Surface Hub so that everyone’s voice is picked up clearly.

Simply connect the HDL300 system’s connect module USB-A to the alternate PC USB-A port on the Surface Hub, which is located on the bottom I/O panel.

From the Windows OS,

  1. Go to the Windows Start icon and select Manage audio devices
  2. Change the default audio manager from the Microsoft Surface Hub built-in speakers to "Echo Cancelling Device HDL300"

The HDL300 system will now integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Teams™ or other conferencing software.

Since Surface HUB accepts UWA applications only, HDL300 firmware updates are only available through a third-party laptop connection running regular Win10

The technical specifications for the Surface Hub can be found on Microsoft's website.
